Junction Repairs
Where a branch line meets the main is where pipes fail - and where a reline is won or lost after the work is finished.
Overview
Where Your Junction Repairs Fit Into a Relining Job.
Every junction that is cut through during a reline has to be reopened at the right angle and sealed with a structural patch, or roots move straight back in around the cut.
The same repair works on its own: a localised defect at a junction or boundary trap can be patched rather than relining the whole run.

When You Need Help With Junction Repairs
Tell us what you are seeing - roots coming back at the same spot every year, water pooling where a branch enters the main, or a reline that has started blocking at a junction - and we will camera that exact section and show you what has failed.

A junction cut left unpatched is an open door for roots.

Inclusions
What's Included In Our Junction Repairs Service
- Diagnosis on camera at the junction itself, not the whole line by assumption.
- Precise reopening of each branch through a cured liner where relining has been done.
- Structural fibreglass patch bonded over the junction cut to seal it.
- Boundary trap repairs where the water seal or shaft has failed.
- Junction reinstated to the correct angle and diameter for flow.
- Final camera check of every junction we have worked on.
Why It Matters
Junction Repairs, done properly.
A reline can be flawless along the run and still block, because the junction cut is where the pipe is weakest and where roots are most persistent.
- Every branch cut out at the correct angle by a robotic cutter.
- Structural patches bonded, not surface sealed.
- Boundary trap and shaft assessed in the same visit.
On The Day
What to expect.
We confirm the arrival window, camera the junction, reinstate or patch it, then run the camera back through to confirm the branch flows and the seal is intact.
- Access through the inspection opening or boundary shaft.
- Cut reinstated or patch bonded, area cleaned afterwards.
- Junction verified on camera and findings handed over in writing.
How It Works
Three steps. No surprises.
Call or Book
One conversation about where the problem keeps happening - a branch, a boundary trap, or a spot that has been repaired before.
Diagnose & Quote
The camera shows the junction itself: whether the cut is open, the patch has failed, or the branch has moved out of alignment.
Fix & Guarantee
The junction is reopened or patched structurally, and you get camera proof that the branch flows and nothing can get back in.

The Weak Point
Junctions fail for structural reasons, not bad luck
Where a branch meets a main, the pipe changes direction, the wall is interrupted and the joint takes more load than anywhere else on the run.
Licensed & Insured · Upfront Pricing · Workmanship Guaranteed
That is why the same spot keeps blocking year after year. A junction is a break in the pipe wall, a change in flow direction and, in older systems, an extra joint sitting in wet soil. Roots find it, waste catches on it, and ground movement opens it further over time. Replacing the pipe either side of it while leaving the junction as it is only moves the failure a metre along.
Relining makes a line jointless - but it also closes the branch lines over, and the openings have to be cut back through the new wall. Each cut is precise and each one leaves an edge. A structural fibreglass patch bonded over that opening completes the repair: the branch flows normally and the cut is sealed against roots and groundwater. Skimp on that step and the reline still blocks.
The boundary trap deserves the same treatment for the same reason. The line turns down the shaft, around the water seal and back out to the connection, so it carries more load and more direction changes than any other section. Where the trap and shaft still hold their shape, they can be relined as part of the run. Where they have failed, they are repaired or replaced, and the camera tells us which.
